CMLL Live results: 12/1/2013 Arena Mexico show

Even though last weeks show sounded like nothing special, i’d have been better off watching that instead. The Grey Cup was terrible and I didn’t even make it to half time before I gave up on it… I hate the Saskatchewan Roughriders…

In the meantime, Arena Coliseo is closed until mid-January and they rushed out a Volador Jr. technico turn in record time. Question is now will people start to cheer Mistico because he’s with Volador Jr., or will they start to hate Volador Jr. instead?

HHhhmmmm… no lightning match. For those following along tonight:

6. Mexican Welterweight Title: Titan def. Averno to win title

Averno’s second defense. Averno + ringside barricades = Titan being sore Monday morning. Averno was accompanied by Terrible and Titan was accompanied by Triton (who already took the bump into the barricade earlier). Tigre Hispano is an awesome referee for these matches. He just adds that little extra something and his counts add to the match drama, making close counts feel important.

Fall #1: Averno hits the devil’s wings to take the first fall.

Fall #2: Titan hit a tope and just about was drilled face first into the floor. Titan takes the second with a sunset flip.

Fall #3: Titan hit a rana on the ramp to send Averno to the floor, then hit a plancha over the crowd on to Averno. Averno knocked Titan off the top to the floor, then hit a senton from the apron on to him. Averno caught Titan coming off the ropes with a powerbomb, then powerbombed him into the corner for a two. Titan reversed a surfboard into one of his own. Averno fell backwards for a double pin, but both kicked out. Titan with an Asai moonsault. Averno caught Titan with a powerbomb and tried to pin him with his feet in the ropes, but only got two. Averno went for the devil’s wings and Titan reversed it, but Averno made it to the ropes. Titan went for a tope, but Averno threw him into the barricade. Averno threw him back in, but only got two when Titan got the ropes. Averno hit two devil’s wings, but only got two when Titan got the ropes. Averno hit a devil’s wings off the top, but Titan kicked out at two. Averno goes to put a submission on Titan, when Titan hits a small package to win the Mexican Welterweight Title in a very good match.

5. Mistico (captain), Maximo & Thunder DQ Negro Casas, Mr. Niebla (captain) & Felino

Peste Negra together again and accompanied by Perrito Zacarias… Yes, I am still waiting for that uncoordinated muscle head Thunder to go home and make room for people who can work…

Fall #1: Rudos took the first when Felino submitted Thunder with the figure four (IT IS A SUBMISSION HOLD!!!!) and Mr. Niebla pinned Mistico after a splash off the top rope.

Fall #2: Technicos even it up quickly to a round of boos when Mistico rolls up Felino and Maximo rolls up Mr. Niebla for the pins. Thunder takes up space…

Fall #3: Crowd booed the hell out of Mistico. Volador Jr. really has his work cut out for him. Mistico hit a plancha on Negro Casas and Maximo hit a tope off the apron on Felino. Thunder did a leapfrog over Mr. Niebla and Niebla fouled him for the DQ. Thunder went to the JYD school of selling since he sold it like he was dead. Thunder challenged Mr Niebla to a one on one. Lets hope it falls on deaf ears. Maximo was injured and was stretchered out. Possible ankle injury from the tope?

4. La Mascara, Stuka Jr. & Brazo de Plata (captain) def. Terrible (captain), Vangellys & Sangre Azteca

Fall #1: Rudos took the first when Vangellys pinned La Mascara with a northern lights suplex and Terrible pinned Brazo de Plata after bitch slapping him a few dozen times.

Fall #2: You knew it was coming. Brazo de Plata splashes the entire rudo team for the pin.

Fall #3: La Mascara hit a tope on Terrible. Stuka Jr. pinned Vangellys with a splash off the top and Brazo de Plata sat on Sangre Azteca who was attempting a sunset flip.

3. Fuego, Triton & Sagrado (captain) def. Shigeo Okumura, Puma (captain) & Barbaro Cavernario

Fall #1: Triton went for a rana off the apron on to Puma, who caught him and introduced him to the barricade. Shigeo Okumura pinned Fuego with a Michinoku Driver and Barbaro Cavenario submitted Sagrado.

Fall #2: At one point, Puma launched Triton up in the air, where he was met with a Barbara Cavenario dropkick off the top. Fuego hit a plancha on Barbaro Cavenario, Triton hit an Asai moonsault on Shigeo Okumura, and Sagrado pinned Puma after an enzugieri.

Fall #3: Triton came off the top to hit a rana on Puma that sent him from the apron to the floor. Sagrado hit a tope on Puma. Fuego rolled up Shigeo Okumura and Triton pinned Barbaro Cavenario after a leg drop off the top.

2. Dark Angel, Marcela (captain) & Silueta def. Princesa Blanca (captain), Princesa Sugheit & La Seductora

Fall #1: Technicos took the first when Dark Angel submitted Princesa Sugheit and Silueta pinned Princesa Blanca with a fisherman suplex.

Fall #2: Rudos even it when Princesa Sugheit submits Silueta and La Seductora submits Dark Angel.

Fall #3: Dark Angel takes out Princesa Blanca with a plancha, allowing the technicos to take it when Marcela pins Princesa Sugheit after a double stomp off the top rope and Silueta submits La Seductora,

1. Ultimo Dragoncito & Fantasy def. Mercurio & Pequeno Nitro

Fantasy working the X-Files remix…

Fall #1: Rudos take the first when Pequeno Nitro gets Fantasy with a botched up finish and Mercurio gets Ultimo Dragoncito with a powerbomb.

Fall #2: Technicos even it in a quick fall and a round of boos when Ultimo Dragoncito submits Mercurio with a form of abdominal stretch and Fantasy pins Pequeno Nitro.

Fall #3: Fantasy pinned Mercurio with a powerbomb, Pequeno Nitro pinned Fantasy with a backcracker, and the technicos took it when Ultimo Dragoncito submitted Pequeno Nitro to win a complete mess…
