Rocket relaunched…

First off, I do admit that I am horrible when it comes to blogging (see the date of the previous post for proof of that), however I have been updating the site along the way.

Well, tonight is the night. The night Roger Clemens returns to professional baseball. Ironically for me, facing a team I used to be a season ticket holder of before I moved, the Bridgeport Bluefish. Roger signed with the Atlantic League’s Sugar Land Skeeters on Monday and this would be his first start.

Though it is a bit crazy that 50 year old Clemens is returning to baseball after five years off (and insane that the Houston Astros are watching with the thought of signing him),  hopefully as a publicity stunt, it will work. The game is being televised live on ESPN3 and ESPN Classics tonight, as well as live break-ins on ESPN News, so this would be the first game in Atlantic League history to get national coverage. Obviously with their dismal 2012 record, I am sure the Astros are thinking that the Clemens name could at least bring a few fans in as well…
